Harvest Festival 2013

Post by Noona on Fri 20 Sep 2013, 4:39 pm

The Harvest Festival is a small celebration to honor the fallen heroes of the Horde and Alliance. This year it runs from September 13th through the 20th, transforming the outside of Orgrimmar and Ironforge into feasts. With all the destruction and rebellion in Patch 5.4, now is a good time to reflect on the past and honor heroes.
Festival Foods
Festive tables full with food can be found outside of Orgrimmar and Ironforge, from which players can have their fill of food and drink as they celebrate the memory of their faction's fallen champions. You can hold up to 20 of each of these foods, and they do not expire, so they make great meals for alts!

  •  Harvest Bread
  •  Harvest Fish
  •  Harvest Boar
  •  Harvest Nectar

Honoring a Hero
There is only one short quest chain available during the Harvest Festival, with both Horde and Alliance versions, and you pick it right up where the festival is taking place. For this quest, you are sent to show respect to one of your faction's most honored heroes--Grom Hellscream for members of the Horde and Uther Lightbringer for members of the Alliance. Miyari took the time to write up a brief quest guide for us.

  •  Honoring a Hero
    Start & End: Javnir Nashak
For this quest, Horde players are given  Grom's Tribute and sent to Grom's Monument in the Demon Fall Canyon of Ashenvale to offer gifts in tribute to the memory of Grom Hellscream. Upon returning the quest, players will receive  The Horde's Hellscream, a book with a written tribute to the fallen hero.

  •  Honoring a Hero
    Start & End: Wagner Hammerstrike
For this quest, Alliance players are given  Uther's Tribute and sent to Uther's Tomb in Western Plaguelands to offer gifts in tribute to the memory of Uther Lightbringer. Upon returning the quest, players will receive  For the Light!, a book with a written tribute to the fallen hero.

In addition to the stated rewards, you will receive a  Bounty of the Harvest by in-game mail a few days after completing this quest.
Festival Fireworks
In addition to offering the only quest, Javnir Nashak and Wagner Hammerstrikealso sell a small selection of fireworks:

  •  Midsummer Ground Flower - 95
  •  Blue Firework - 19
  •  Green Firework - 19
  •  Red Firework - 19
  •  Red Streaks Firework - 48
  •  Yellow Rose Firework - 38

These fireworks do not have any duration, so you can stock up and bring festivity wherever you go.
Achievements
There are no achievements associated with this world event. (Don't confuse this holiday for Pilgrim's Bounty!)
